I have a great client in Syracuse looking for an Accounting Administrator.  In this role, you will be responsible for accounting and financial record keeping, overseeing the administrative systems/operations of the office, including staff and facilities. Accounting functions include AP, AR, PR, GL/bank reconciliations and month-end closing. Responsibilities:
  • Financial statement preparation
  • General ledger and bank account reconciliations
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable
  • Month-end closing
  • Payroll
  • Budgeting, forecasting and tracking
  • Calculate and report for local, regional and international awards.
  • Maintain office files, including accounting files, general ledger files, associate files employee files, listing files, contract pending files, and closed contract files
  • Monthly reporting of all production and accounting figures for the month to headquarters
  • Responsible for processing and paying associate commissions
  • Interact and build professional relationships with staff, associates, and vendors
  • Purchase supplies and equipment 
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure the professional appearance of all physical facilities
  • Coordinate the maintenance of office equipment and monitoring maintenance agreements
  • Oversee Computer Hardware Specialist, Computer Software Trainer, and Internet Specialist
  • Set up and maintaining all passwords on computer systems
  • Delegate tasks to staff, and responsible for phones being covered
  • Hire and manage receptionists an
  • Understand, demonstrate and promote the company culture as it relates to agents, staff, ownership, and others.
  • Assist in new agent/employee orientation and training
  • Support the team in planning and running Sales Meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Prior costumer service experience strongly desired (aka service industry, restaurant, sales or retail)
  • Leadership experience strongly desired
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong ability to multitask and excel under pressure
