An International packaging company is seeking to add a bi-lingual Human Resources Generalist to their plant in Carson, CA.  This position will provide support/assistance in recruitment, employee/labor relations, administration/compliance, training, etc.  You must be a problem solver that is able to work with minimal direct supervision.  This is a company with plenty of growth opportunities and an excellent benefit package.   

Primary Duties   
  • Involved in recruitment of temporary/permanent employees.
  • Utilize company’s recruiting guidelines, work with staffing agencies.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and testing of candidates.
  • Must be comfortable with complete onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and files.
  • Perform employee analysis  (headcount numbers, labor report etc.)
  • Maintain Employee Training Database.
  • Provide support in ad-hoc projects

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • English, Spanish required (read, write, speak, translate)
  • Bachelor Degree in Business (PHR or SPHR preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR is required.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • High degree of computer proficiency - MS Office, ATS, ADP, SAP etc… 
  • MS Excel pivot table knowledge of advantage  (skills will be tested)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with individuals at all levels
  • High energy, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual. 
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow established processes
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in coaching, disciplining and terminating is required.
  • Experience creating and presenting employee training is desired.

Compensation:
  • Annual Salary of $62.5k - $67.5k (based on experience)
