Senior & Principal UX Designer ($100K - $140K plus bonus) 
Senior UX Designers/Engineers will work with local/regional clients to help design and build great web and digital experiences. Consultants spend time working from home, at client sites and in their fun, laid back and comfortable office in Boston’s Innovation district. We’re looking for Senior and Principal-level designers who can demonstrate leadership and creativity. Candidates will have a “seat at the table” and will be looked to for ideas, philosophies and creativity. With a focus on research, data and collaboration, the team works closely with client to define and build great user experience with some of the latest and greatest technologies and tools available.  Candidates should be experienced using research as a primary input to your work, and should seek and embrace insights based on the affiliated data.  The UX team works on Micro and Macro designs with decisions based on the results of research and data.

  • Employ conceptual thinking to create world-class digital products and services across platforms
  • Work directly with clients to design end-to-end experiences using iterative design techniques and collaboration
  • Work with clients and user on; customer interviews, usability testing, and other qualitative and quantitative research techniques including observational studies to learn behaviors
  • Develop sound UX concepts, including the definition of customer needs, task analysis, and the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios and use cases
  • Translate concepts into designs with simplicity and conceptual complexity
  • Lead multi-day design sprints and workshops across project and client teams
  • Communicate research findings, workshop outputs, conceptual ideas and detailed design
  • Create instant tangibility through storytelling and rapid prototyping (from paper to digital prototypes)
  • Participate in information architecture, wireframes, user flows and usability testing
  • Lead pre-sales engagements  from a design perspective to educate prospects design practices
  • Partner closely with technical developer and project manager teammates to ensure that design specifications are implemented
  • 6-10+  years of  professional experience in UX design
  • Outstanding storyteller with the ability to deliver insights about people and behavior
  • Ability to generate empathy, emotion, and engagement from the client and design team
  • Consistently learning and improving, employing current and emerging UI best practices  
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design excellence and attention to detail
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Leadership and mentoring experience
  • Candidates should have a great portfolio to share
