Project Manager - HR/Payroll/Benefits Systems
Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional technology-related projects, managing the projects’ budgets.  This position provides project, technical, and business leadership to multiple projects.  The Project Manager oversees the creation of project plans and determines project scope and deliverables as well as resource allocation.  This position defines and manages project risk.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions in this job description are not all-inclusive of this job’s duties and responsibilities.  Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
  • Creates, executes and monitors cross-functional technology-related project plans including the creation of any required documentation.  Provides project, technical, and business leadership. 
  • Determines project scope and deliverables.  Oversees creation of project plans and resource allocation.  Assigns responsibilities and develops timeframes to facilitate successful completion of the project.
  • Maintains project financials and manages to project budgets including the authorizing and recording of project expenses.
  • Defines and manages project risk and risk mitigation processes.  Keeps stakeholders informed of progress, changes, and risks.
  • Communicates effectively with IS Development, business partners, and vendors/consultants to build and maintain close relationships and partnerships and evaluate alternative business solutions. .Tracks and shares new knowledge with team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IS, Business or related field required
  • Minimum five years of IS experience with increasing project management responsibility, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
  • Successful completion of annual store training

***Must have previous experience with HR or Payroll or Benefits systems****
 Knowledge of project management practices
  • Knowledge of project cost estimation and budgeting
  • Knowledge of project risk identification techniques
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management software
  • Strong communication (oral and written), presentation, facilitation, and training skills

  • Project and financial management skills
  • Strong computer/technology skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & IS software
  • Ability to lead and develop/coach associates
