The analyst is responsible for managing IT expenses and its reporting.   This role will report to Senior Manager, G&A FP&A, Finance and IT Support month end close and reporting activities for both department expenses and project related expense support all short, medium, and longer term IT planning activities.  Build business partnership with IT PMO and broader Finance teams.
Must be able to lead and meet deadlines for multiple priorities and projects drawing on disciplines from Finance and project management. The individual will be responsible for delivering of accurate and timely reports including monthly financials, project level reporting, and provide analytical support to IT management teams, including the following:
  • Contribute to an array of cross-disciplinary projects and initiatives, as well as driving continuous improvements in Finance processes, systems, financial tools and documentation to maximize efficiency.  
  • Expected to provide insightful analysis and actionable reporting, ensure compliance with worldwide policies and procedures, and local statutory reporting.
  • Support month end close/ reporting activities, including managing accruals and variance analytics. The SFA II will develop an in-depth understanding of key business drivers to incorporate into monthly commentaries.
  • Submit re-class and inter-company cross charge requests to accounting related to IT projects and department expenses
  • Lead the budget planning for IT departments, projects and headcount.
  • Develop an understanding of key performance drivers and issues relating to budget and actual results ensuring key issues, risks and business drivers are understood and highlighted.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of accurate and timely project monthly management reporting and budgeting/forecasting to IT functional groups and leadership teams.
  • At project closure, review and ensure all fixed assets are classified and recorded in accordance with the Controller's Manual and all fixed assets are depreciated with appropriate useful lives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures including the Worldwide Controller’s Policies.
  • Create efficient process flows for operational activities and create documentation and / or reference guides. 
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
  • 6 plus years of relevant experience with Hyperion Applications and Oracle ERP and a BA or BS degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus.
  • Experience in multi-national organization a plus. In-depth knowledge of enterprise performance management systems.
  • Strong business partnering skills and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational project management and analytical skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.
