Sales Engineer/ Account Manager position including pre and post sales support in a global market selling solutions in the form of engineered equipment packaged with custom instrumentation/ control systems.
Description
Responsible for the sales and marketing of skid mounted engineered equipment / controls modules into the refinery, chemical, petrochemical, gas processing and related industries. Selling to an international market with 25% travel. This is a combination solutions sales and equipment sales. Also, supports after market sales as the application engineer. Working for an OEM that packages their equipment in skid mounted modules along with third party equipment, valves, piping, and instrument and control systems.
Responsibilities
Account Management - Maintain relationship with existing OEM customers
Expand current customer base
Proposal Preparation Coordinate
Attend conferences / Trade shows
Presentations to new and existing customers
Work with sales/marketing team to develop sales strategies for focus industries
Provide Technical/Product data to existing / potential customers
Maintain and update competitive information database
Work with Engineered Systems Group in optimizing product offering.
Develop sales forecasts
Travel Requirement 15 25% (Domestic and International)
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Technical Discipline (Preferably Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/Chemistry)
Minimum five to seven years industrial experience with knowledge of refining / petrochemical or gas processing industries.
At least 3 years of sales, marketing or application engineering/ technical support experience required.
Desired additional experience:
Equipment sales (filtration, fluid separation, compressors) experience a plus.
Knowledge of air pretreatment, air dehydration, gas compression systems or gas processing a definite plus.
Basic project engineering and cost estimating skills are helpful.
International business experience and travel history
